Watching basketball right now. Go Clipppers! I know, I know, the clippers suck bad this year.

Haven't surfed in several weeks. It seems less and less likely i'll get in the water anytime soon. But, to be honest in the 25 plus years i've been surfing this has to be the worst winter ever and every other local I know seems to agree with that sentiment. At least i'm not missing all kinds of great surf.

Kids are growing up fast. Three years and two years and it makes me think where all the years go. will post up pics soon.

Vacation in a few weeks so may have some surf related ramblings soon.

Less than a month between posts! Not bad, getting better.

A month....lets see, some waves, weather has been good, and work has been tiring and dramatic. Overall, this morning was the best morning ever. Moon was still out, sunrise was great, and the water was clean and calm. Sheet glass makes even the smallest swell look good and there appeared to be a clean 2-3 foot south swell running with no windswell to mess it up. Wish I didn't have to go to work. Three more weeks until vacation, at which time I'm sure any such mornings like today will be no more.

No posts in a year and a half! Well what do you expect when you have a career and a wife and new baby and a house that needs lots of work. Surfed sunday twice which is incredible since it was Mother's day. Surfed a left of a Jetty that has shown some potential for the last month and a half. Two other guys out who said it has been good the last few days. Surfed in the afternoon just south of the casa. Looked good on the sets but was really just too fast to get a good ride. Great looking waves though. Nobody was out while I was looking at it, but by the time I had suited up there was already a few people heading out. Overall, both sessions were lackluster both in terms of my surfing as well as the waves. With the longer days now I may try getting out more after work, but with summer comes the dreaded red tide that has cursed us so much the few years around here. Will have to wait and see.

Just checked out some of the river mouths around the area. Lots of detritous on the beach and lots of sand on the outside. Lack of any swell though. Should pick up early next week but my vacation is ending and i will be back to the monday through friday grind. Oh well, hope everyone else gets some. I got some fun waves over the last 4 weeks so I can't complain.

Surfed Tues, Wed, and Thurs. out a what will be referred to as lobster reef. Good waves although the backwash was pretty bad. My body feels pretty surfed out. Storm front has moved in and the weather has turned horrible. Surf has also gone flat.

Got out in the water yesterday morning in front of the casa. Wife went out too. It was fun when some of the little set waves would come in. Overall it was small, about 2 -3 foot at max. The south-west windswell that has provided so much good surf, although polluted, the last few days have died. I think our run of swell is over. But, in truth you never know what's going to be out front on any given day. That is the benefit of living right at the beach.

P.S. Today is tiny.

Haven't posted in a while. There's been some good surf finally but now we're getting too much rain and the water quality has gone to crap. Could be a while before the water is safe to go back into. Try to post some pics soon.
